Got my garmin edge last week and I'm still learning all the features. I've downloaded some trailforks trails on and found them at delamere, but on trailforks there aren't very many full routes. Is there another site that there are? Or is there a way of creating a route to follow?

pretty sure you'll need to create a route using the Garmin connect app either on your phone or pc then push it to the device. you may be able to select a point on the installed Map and then it will navigate to it, but it won't have searchable poi's installed as far as I know.

Okay, cheers.
Do you know if there's a way to add the routes in magazines?

yes, if they have a link to a gpx download then you just save that on your pc and upload to Garmin connect, then. you have it as a saved route and it can be pushed to your device as normal. you can do the same with a strava route if you have a premium subscription.

you'll need to do a bit of reading up on how to use the feature

You can download gpx routes straight to your garmin also, if you connect it to your computer with a lead. Drop the gpx into the “new files” folder and it will be on your device next time you start it up.

For route planning, I use Strava as I’m a premium user. The route planner uses information from Strava’s Heatmap to show the most popular routes.
