I have an edge 800, and am downloading routes to it. Nut what I'm struggling with is it does not show me the route, it tells me how to get to the start and that's it!
Am I missing something?

...Then when you get to the start, it should start showing the route directions.
when i start a route, mine asks me whether i want directions to the start.
if you say no, it just shows the route on the map, and starts following it as soon as it detects you are on it.

Ride to the start and then it will say course found and away you go. Or leave it off, mine has an anoying habit of not quite picking up the start so I have to restart it after it tells me to do a Uturn 100m in.
Also it will stop giving directions unless you have used course points to plan your route.
