This seems to happen every time Garmin roll out an update. My phone losses bluetooth connection, and wont pair correctly. It's a Samsung S6.
The phone think's it's paired, the Edge shows in paired devices, but the Garmin screen keeps spinning saying "waiting for phone to connect".
The Connect app doesnt show the Edge, but does show my Garmin watch.
I've restarted both phone and Garmin, force stopped Garmin Connect on my phone, checked for further Edge updates, unpaired the Garmin on my Phone, renamed the Garmin in the Edge's settings - but nothing has worked.
Any ideas? I'm getting pretty p1ssed off with Garmin issues, but who isnt.
Delete the app, 'forget' the garmin in the bluetooth settings from your phone then reinstall the app and re-pair the phone.
Might work.

Although after having had to do something similar countless times over the years with my 810 and 1000 you won't be surprised to learn I finally binned Garmin earlier this year and went Wahoo Elemnt and haven't looked back ๐
Don't speak too soon munkster - just had to do that with my Wahoo (swapped for similar reasons) although that might have been due to changing phones.
thanks, I'll give it a go.
My phone only has a "unpair" option, not "forget" - is that the same?
