Have the now old Garmin 800 which serves me well but the calorie count always seems way out. Last night a 3 hour road ride quite hard and burnt only 41 calories?!

Have you got your weight set to something funny? I thought the more modern devices to that into account. Could be wrong though as I don't have one here right now

Are you really watching calories while riding?
I would have more faith in the calorie figure whatever services you upload the ride to after calculates, than the instantaneous estimate on the screen...

Nope I prefer average speed, I was just curious as to why the calories were so out.
