not sure whats going on, i'm an IT numpty.
I've used it before with no problems.
I did do a restore to point in time on the PC following a blip post updates, and it hasn't worked since.
The PC has been successfully updated since & i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Base camp several times since.
It does give me a long fault list, but i can't cut n paste it.
Any tips?

Are you reinstalling from your PC or the Garmin website?

My guess is that if you've done a Restore (roll back) in Windows you've gone back to a time before Basecamp was installed and either the plugins or the app aren't properly installed anymore.
Garmin software is horrible and the tech support is laughable.
I'd uninstall it all completely and then start from scratch reinstalling the Garmin unit and its drivers and plugins and then the rest of the software. It'll be quicker.
If you do a complete reinstall make sure you know where the database is held
