One of those reverse ones from Garmin/SRAM. like the out front one but pointing back over the stem. Or the DH ones that attach at the steerer cap.

Can you not just turn an out front one backwards?

I use one of these stem cap mounts

So far seems pretty sturdy and a firmer fit than the original Garmin mounts on my road bikes. Would still feel better if the Garmin had a lanyard though.

you could but it would likely sit at a weird angle

Just put your out front mount on backwards. Works a treat.

We've got three stem cap mounts in our house, two k-edge ones and a cheapy off of ebay. All work well and fine with either an Edge 800 or 820.

yeah bought five of these for the price of one k-edge one

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bicycle-Computer-Fixed-Stem-Top-Cap-Mount-For-GARMIN-Edge-1000-800-810-500-200/222490170162?hash=item33cd729332:m:mJshlevD4NYU-dxEvlu3PBg

ive snapped so many bar mounted ones in my time. plus i dont like the extra clutter.

I use these on all my MTBs, cheaper and less snappy than the Barfly ones I had before.

Never had the device fall off either, touch wood.

I use this Stem Captain....sturdy enough and doesn't look to out of place if you are not using your gps.

I’ve got an eBay special ‘out front’ copy mounted backwards and a K-Edge stem cap one. I prefer the backwards ‘out front’, I looks like it’d fair better in a crash, and oddly I find it weird not being able to see my stem.

I’ve got an eBay version of the stem cap Crag posted. Needed a spacer above the stem so my rather large ELEMNT would for over the top of the rehthal stem.. The Garmin fitted without the spacer. Neater than the SRAM reverse mount thingy I used to use.

Ive got the SRAM mtb mount on 2 bikes, one has cracked after 2 or 3 years use but still works fine, my stem is a massive 50mm. I've considered the stem cap one but seems somehow more vulnerable in a crash, arm has some give in it. I also wasnt sure it would clear the stem.
