Is there anywhere else rather than the Garmin site you can download maps for the Garmin 800? The maps I want for this weekend aren't available until May 1st 🙁

Dazzler3665 (or something like that) sells the genuine maps on a card for £24, delivered in a couple of days.
If you mean Garmin City Navigator maps, I think the only (legal) place to download them is the Garmin website. And it seems they're not available right now for some reason.
You can still buy them on a MicroSD card, eg from Amazon. Though I think that is 2012 version of the maps, so maybe out of date.
Or why not just use OpenStreetMap? Its about as good as City Nav for roads in the UK, and its free.
