I have had my Garmin 800 for 3 months and used it 8 times and the back light has stopped working. Has anyone else suffered with this fault and do you know a solution.

Yes. Go into the set up menu (hold power switch down for half a second I think) and turn the back light back on again. I think they all do it every now and then.

Have you unwittingly turned the brightness right down? (this was my mistake). You can change it by pressing (not holding) the power button.
