A few weeks ago I did an event and downloaded the .gpx file to my 705. It worked fine but will not clear from the unit, the rotten thing keeps trying to redirect me to the start of the course! I have deleted all the data files from the unit but the problem remains.
Meanwhile, I am having problems loading a new course onto the unit. I drag the new .gpx file into the GPX folder but to no avail. I can see it while hooked up to the computer but not on the unit itself.
Any ideas?
If I need to do a reset, will that simply clear my personal data and not the map pack I have loaded on there?
Time/excuse to upgrade to an 800 John... 😉
The 205 that I used to have did something similar and I had to do a hard reset, wiped all the personal data but not the logged data, i.e. totals. Not sure what it'll do about maps that you've loaded on though...

Have tried a hard reset and am keeping fingers crossed!
Was down for D2D last Oct, that was grim but fun! The RAF team, along with quite a lot of others, jacked it in the middle of the night which made for a great talking point to rib them with.
Stuck in Nottingham for now so riding in the Peak a lot although the missus is posted to Lossiemouth at the end of the month so I'll be up there once a fortnight riding in the HIghlands too.
Looks like the FC are generally in a co-operative mood down there at the moment...
