Will an old style Garmin cadence sensor work with the new Garmin edge 520.Currently using old edge 300 and looking to upgrade.

You might need to set the sensor type to "ANT+ Spd/Cad" on the Garmin settings. I had problems with my 800 not picking up the new style sensor after having been used with an old style previously. I had to change the sensor type to get it to work.

The 520 menu has option to pair with combined or separate sensors. I use it with both.
