[Closed] garmin 1000 maps, which ones to enable?

got an edge 1000 and it comes with various maps already loaded up.

Its got:
Basemap
DEM map (?for altitudes)
Geocode map (no idea what this does)
Garmin cycle map
OSM cycle map

All these are enabled on the device, but the garmin cycle map seems to override the OSM cycle map(ie if I turn off the garmin map I can see the OSM map otherwise its hidden)

Also loads of settings in the map visibility menus that I don't really have a clue about!

So, which is the best cycle map to use, the OSM one or the garmin one, or is it just deciding which one looks prettier?!

And what settings do you have in the map visibility / labes pages to avoid it all being a cluttered mess.
