When were cars banned from the Gap road, it's now a gated restricted byeway with "no cars or motorbikes" signs?
First time I've been up there for a few years, shame that the top section heading down to Brecon hasnt really returned to former state, just a rubbley mess.
Also, as a variation to the normal route, would anyone recommend either of these descents:

They are ok, not as good as the Dolygaer descent for me, they are more grassy and less rocky/technical, but there are definitely some fun bits.
