Can anyone tell me the difference between Shimano G01 and G02 brake pads; both appear to be finless resin pads (I assume the the A or S designations refers to Aluminium or Steel backing)?

G01 = resin, non-finned, steel backed
G02 = resin, non-finned, alloy backed

Thanks, but you can also buy G01A and G01S which I assumed were alloy and steel backed.

G02A are just an updated version of G01A. Same stuff (I believe), different part number. Get whichever is cheapest.
