[#10458179]

Finished building up the new bike recently and it's running sweetly.

As various bits were sourced from the parts bin/spares/other bikes the bolts are mostly second hand.

So, plan is now to replace all bolts with nice new smart ones. Ideally coloured stainless, black, or maybe red, not yet made my mind up. Stainless as it's a steel frame and I don't want to have galvanic corrosion happening.

Where to buy such stuff? I have found these guys: https://www.gwr-fasteners.co.uk/gwr-colourfast-coloured-stainless-steel-screws-nuts--washers-177-c.asp

Any other places? Ebay was searched, but seems to be only anodised aluminium or Ti, or silly prices.

Never had a problem with alloy bolts in steel frames myself. Just put some copper slip / anti-seize on them and if you are worried they might get stuck give them a wiggle or take them out every few months and add the anti-seize again. My experience of red coloured steel bolts for my car build is that the colour is very washed out compared to alloy and they are a lot more expensive.

TBH I'm not entirely sure what your trying to find. If you're trying to find anodised stainless steel, you're going to be searching for a very long time.
If you want painted bolts, it doesn't matter what they're made of as the paint and a dab of copper slip should prevent any corrosion.

As above. Been using anodised aluminium bolts in steel frames for nearly 30 years and never had any corrosion issues. FWIW I always lightly grease threads.

Boggo stainless steel and a Sharpie? Has the benefit of being cheap and easy to re-touch.
