Did my first 'race' at the weekend. Only really a race as in there were prizes and checkpoints to visit, but mostly it was a right laugh and not at all competitive. I was wondering if anyone knows of any smaller scale events in the north over the winter (Yorks, Lakes)? Preferably something not infested with lycra-clad tree-trunk-legged bike monsters, a bit more laid back and fun for unfit beer-guzzling punters like me.
