Mrs WW wants us to get some new patio furniture including a table with integral fire pit / barbeque.
What would you recommend as the best fuel? Preferably hottest and most smoke free?
Am i going more to coal or just use charcoal? Or maybe something else? Wood would be too smokey i think???

If its dry and not a smokey wood would be fine i think.
Aslong as you get a good airflow.

Dried timber is fine, same as a wood burner. Tried oak, birch, poplar, and scrap softwood all have been fine. Also lobbed on charcoal before now.
