See letter sent to FSA, I dont have the receipt (purchased via forum)but am asking seller the question. The bolt comes loose on every ride!!
I am awaiting reply but not sure what to do if not positive.
I have purchased a Mega Exo Light c/w ceramic bb privately in May 2011. It has come new boxed with warranty It has been fitted by my local bike shop (CHESHIRE OAKS CYCLES) to a new build Titus FTM carbon. I have tried to purchase the best quality products through out the build. After three rides the extractor cap fell off, back to LBS, next ride the crank bolt loosens. This was tightened several times on the ride then back to LBS, New Locktight re-torqued back out,
Second ride, up a hill and play in the crank again!!!
The LBS informs me that they have encountered this problem before with your cranks.
I have always used shimano and have had one plastic bolt snap in 20 yrs of riding.
Can you please help, advise and assist.
Update, now at the end of my tether.
FSA sent a replacement which was fitted today. Mechanic said that when torqed up to 45nm the bearings were tight so he had to fit bb washeres to the non drive side of the crank arm. I can't work out what this would do as still the same pressure on the brearings. I hadn't fitted the pedals and didnt check the movement until I got home, The bearings are compressed and turning the crank arms feels like pushing against gritted treacle. I'm so fed up with it.
We had a similar problem with an FSA K-Force Lite and contacted them directly and they replaced the whole new crankset. Try contacting Dominic at Windwave the importer

Thanks, FSA sent a new one. The lbs athough normally good had fitted one extra spacer on the BB. This meant the crank wouldn't tighten without pressing on the bearing. Fingers crossed it will stay on now.
