The BB30 on my Whyte sounds terrible, now there is a small grub screw on the non drive side. What is this for? Can it be removed to squirt some grease in there? If not I am guessing it's due for changing. (6 months old but it's seen a lot of mud)

That locks the pre load assembly.
just take the crank out and grease the bearings and lube the axle.

it's a simple job on BB30 cranks.

You may find the BB is sick but worth a re-grease in the first instance.
worth seeing if you can nurse it though the winter ๐Ÿ™‚

I was hoping that a simples re grease would do. First bike with one of these fitted so it will be interesting to see how the bearings do. ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks again.
