hi all , stupid question , but what front mech should i put on my orange patriot , seems to be loads out there, i have found an old ish FD-M530, but it looks very long, any help please , cheers

You'll need a top-pull, top-swing 31.8mm type, preferably Deore or above(for longevity). It'll need to be for compact drive(standard drive's virtually unheard of now, anyway), and if you're running a bashguard, you may want to look at a shorter cage double specific model.
