My Prophet came with an E-type (bottom bracket mounted) front mech, but given that the bike has a seat tube and a high swingarm, I'm wondering if there's a particular reason you can't just use a normal top-swing mech?

caus the search is crap, use the tags, but single words (ei: Prophet) not a phrase.
