How do?

OK, may seem a bone question but I'm just trying to clarify where this stuff actually goes when you're servicing your fork. As far as I knew, it would lube any new o-rings and also go around the inside of the wiper seal (if it's not a new wiper seal that is, as new ones already has some on). Those were the only places I'd have put it - Is that right?

Spoke to someone today that had covered the stanchions in it. While I see why, I also see that it will attract all kinds of crap which would then get stuck and eventually scratch the stanchions.

Cheers for any constructive advice ๐Ÿ˜€

Don't call them 'front' forks.

If i put anything on my stations when doing an oil/seal change its float fluid.
I might reaasemble with float fluid still on but after cycling them though after reassembled i soul wipe away any excess.
Any intermediate fluids would be a very light silicon spray but nothing heavier or sticky.

Clean seals and well soaked foams is all you need between services

Woolymonster you are right!

Tftuned always said to use this on the wiper seals on Fox forks. Everytime I do a lower lube or service I put Judy Butter(very similar) on the wiper seals on both my Boxxers and Revelations. Wipe any excess of after rebuilding and cycling forks a few times, as grits loves to stick to it.

This keeps them super plush.

In Woolys defence when I started riding in the early 90's everyone called them 'Front Forks'. Even the brochure that I had for my activator II referred to the as 'Front Forks'

However, it is 2013 and from what I can remember you never owned an 'Activator' I or II so you should hang your head in retro shame.

On another note I ain't got a clue about what your going on about tech wise but it sounds between yourself, Bear Back and Extreme dude that you have got that side well covered.....

Ciao

If we're harking back to the early 90's, then you have the Manitou FS which pretty much had a rear fork (I didn't have one though...)

...see, 'front fork' is an OK term to use ๐Ÿ™‚ even if it is from the 90's
