nah i dont agree with that ,

ive just come from a real nice spec 456 hardtail to a spesh enduro and apart from going up hills i find it quicker all round and inspires me to go faster!!

have you got the shocks set up properly??

What do you reckon? If the rear shock is set too soft for you it will feel really wallowy.

I weigh 16 stone, I'm not very fit, and mine still has a silly 1.3kg dual ply high roller on the back from an alps trip - I can still ride it up mountains in the Lakes no problem.

Dunno why you would get a big bike like a Pitch and stick skinny tyres on it though.

Sounds like you bought the wrong bike.

I ride a 28lb '08 Enduro SL and I clean way more climbs than I've ever done before on any FS, or HT

Have you set up the rear shock for your weight with the right amount of sag?

My rear tyre is SuperTacky and while when I change it I will put something faster rolling on it really doesn't feel that bad for pedalling. How long rides are you doing on it? If you want to do big 50 mile epics on it it's probably not the right bike, but for 35k round the Lakes with 1200m or so of climbing, or messing about on a DH track, or riding in the Alps, it's great fun for me.

Tom
I'm maybe after a medium Pitch and live down in Bingley, so don't sell it before speaking to me.
I have an Ellsworth moment medium to sell/trade. Both frame and shock are fully working and in good condition.
