Better brakes and heavier wheels won't help you land from jumps - but I'm a bit confused by the question to be sure that's a valid answer, to be honest.
Allow me, I understand "bollox"

I'm used to riding fast and have experience of jumps. However I am finding that the more I push myself on my mountain bike, the more it hurts. I don't have any problems with take off but the landings are causing me concern. My bike is quite light and I think this could be where the problem is. The travel is more than adequate but I think that more burly wheels may add benefit. I am also contemplating replacing the Avid carbon brakes for some Hope Tech. Anyone care to share their thoughts?

wheels and brakes won't make you land better, you can't ride mtb like mx, gotta learn to ride light

Coyote you should get a job within parliament. There's a lot of bollox talked in there. ๐
I find 'bendings my legs' rather than just dead sailoring everything pays dividends.
Is it possible to ride slow and in the air?

Yes it's called falling.
As an ex-motocross rider, the two wheeled experience from which I draw allows me to jump with some confidence. Unfortunately I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that despite the proficiency with which I'm able to get initially airborne, my inevitable return to terra-firma is the subject of markedly lacking รฉlan. My bike and the build thereof is of sparse weight, and this is arousing my suspicions that perhaps I may be in need of some upgrades that will add some extra load. I am, after all, fairly satisfied that my bike's suspension travel is of sufficient length to handle such treatments with aplomb.
Perhaps then the particular target of said weight gain might best be the wheels. I'm also, for reasons known only to myself, wondering if an upgrade of braking components may bring to my landing the finesse this post proves I'm well aware I lack.
My english is terrible myself.
but I rarely have a problem reading others.
In fact I read at first read, I would nt have noticed any difference between coyotes translation and the original.
I can't jump.What can I blame?

So he needs more weight and better brakes?. Wrap a anchor round his waste and " drop anchor" whilst in mid air. Kill two(baby Robin) birds with one stone. Job done.
