Just wondering, is there any way if getting from Frodsham to Thelwall on a tow path or a bridle way?
Don't think so without going up to the ship canal maybe.
You going from home or Frodsham?
Apparently I'd have to ride to Preston brook, up the canal to Walton then Trans pennine to Thelwall. I'm just going to crack out the road sled instead
From Frodsham follow blue sustrans signs marked ROute 5 in red, to the Railway bridge,beware of the stupid gate half way down the sloping track after ashton church, it has a lower bar on it, then at the farm turn left this will bring you to Preston Brook, then down the canal and onto route 62 TPT at Warrington area.

or over the Runcorn bridge drop down onto the canal then strait along the transpennine trail think you can pick it up if you go through Moore as well
