Apropos of nothing really..
On an MTB it's pretty normal to run different tyres front and rear, but don't really see this on gravel bikes?
Currently thinking of going for Hutchinson Tundra front and Touareg rear for a bit more front end grip, but keeping a faster rolling rear tyre
I run mismatched front (wtb) and rear (Vitoria) on my Cx bike, maybe it’s because most gravel bikes are so new the owners haven’t worn the tyres out yet 😉
I run a G-One Bite on the front and a G-One AllRound on the rear.
Bit more grip up front for cornering, slicker on the rear for lower rolling resistance.
Makes perfect sense, I effectively do this as my rear wears itself slick in the middle anyway 🙄
I run £13 Schwalbes on the rear and £40 Vittorias on the front. A combination of which ones grip matters most, and which one wear's out quickest.

I'll admit to running a matched pair of Vittoria 'Trail-techs' for a while now which are apparently intended for E-hybrids, so they weigh quite a bit but are also super durable and Very flat resistant.
The weight has had me looking at alternatives lately and I have to admit I'd been mulling the idea of a wider, knoblier front for grip and comfort with a narrower semi-slick rear for better rolling, but hadn't actually settled on any tyres yet...
