Home, crass TV and a bottle of wine. ๐
Just come back from a couple of pints of Fullers Bengal Lancer IPA over the road. Rather good.
Bottle of bubbly at home this evening cos the missus has just passed her 3 month probation in her new job. (flying colours! ๐ )
Two bottles of red waiting and warming up, taking it gently on saturday race day sunday ๐
Red wine with my biking buddies in my workshop in front of the wood burning stove untill it is time for Haggis and silly voices
Started with a London Sour Pineapple by Brodie's Beer, then a delicious Brouwerij De Molen Amarillo, and a wee Tokyo* for pudding.
The growler is primed with two pints of the most lovely Brouwerij De Molen Amarillo. An American style Double Imperial IPA at an impressive 9.20% ABV
Brodie's London Sour Pineapple is worth trying and is what it says on the tin. Apparently Brodie's had to invent a new brewing technique to make it work; I like Belgian sour beers but this is something different and I enjoyed the experience (but not enough to fill the growler).
Only a pint of Kopparberg tonight as mini-me is due to emerge anytime soon ๐ฏ
Is that lightweight Alex going with you Ton? ๐
only for a shandy Tim..... ๐
The Cube, Bristol, for a film and a beer. Bath Ales Gem, I would guess.
- At the dining table (to accompany the haggis, neeps and tatties) then on the sofa (to accompany the Mad Men, QI and/or HIGNFY)
- Wine (possibly a cheeky number brought back from France last week) and/or Newcie B (cos I fancied it having not had one for ages) and/or a beer that I can't remember the name of. And Auchentoshan and Highland Park.
Down t'club. Samuel Smiths. Snooker. Trad not Rad.
Oh bugger I'm still working but there is a nice
selection from Black Isle Brewery in the cupboard that I might just have to start on
Off to The Flower Pots in Cheriton tonight, thankfully I'm back in the land of sanity and landscape, I've missed it baaaaad like int I.
Micro brewer of mass distinction.
Awaiting a call of selected destination ...
No doubt itll be Peroni, grolsch or kronenberg.
Ive tried ever-so-hard to find a good paletable local brew since moving south but it all tastes foul im afraid.
Good choice of hostelry Ton - envy doesnt come close ....

Jamie - are you at a Chinese Restaurant?
Kaiser beer , hotel Bon alpina, Igls near Innsbruck
Spiced Rum and Ginger Beer for me.
Watching crap TV and just had a filthy chinese takeaway. Nice way to finish a stessful work week.
Currently on the Hobgoblin. Obviously I will have to move onto the whiskey given the date.
CF - really?
I struggle to believe that anything from John Willie Lee's is potable.
Them and OB (Oldham Bitter) ruined many a night in my teenage years, not from getting drunk but more due to having to drink that crap.
Where's it brewed nowadays?
right, i'm off down the offy, these pictures of fine ales are too much, a protein shake has nothing on a nice wainwright.
Kernel double scans ipa, the best of the London brewery's that appear to be popping up everywhere at the moment
Hoegaarden at Cafe Rouge.
Hopefully i will be lapping up some love juice tonight... if i play my cards right ๐
Aberlour 10 year old...
