I'm not really sure. But they are asymmetric, and the hairdresser insisted on them. If you get your hair cut in Hebden Bridge you can pretty much guarantee you'll get a random trendy long bit somewhere. Personally, I think the long one is verging on the Guy Martin and I may be too old and frumpy for trendy.
