I'm running Mavic aksiums on my road bike and the freewheel is annoyingly loud
is there any way to quiet it down some?
eg if i take it apart and ram it full of thick grease will it stop working??
I may have answered my own question but it does note that if it gets loud you need to lube it here:

Loud freewheels are there to tell you who in the group is slacking and needs to get to the front and do a turn.
