Why do some companies (no names mentioned) only give free postage if you order online? I prefer to talk to someone and make sure my order has actually gone through. Yet doing it this way you get charged and extra £5 postage for the same item! Why is this?! I'm sure alot of custom is lost because of this.

Because the person you talk to needs to get payed?

Yep - if you talk to someone, it costs them more, so they charge more.

Why not phone them up, talk to them & then order on-line?

that exactly what ive done piedi. I should now phone up to check that they have and are processing my order. All the benefits of a phone order without the "delivery charge"

Or just stop being paranoid and wait for the parts, unless you need them urgently, in which case visit an LBS!

I'd love to just nip down to a LBS, sadly in my neck of the woods this isn't an option. I'll just have to sit on it and patiently wait for the parts.
