Now much as I like watching the downhillers, there was no way I was getting up pre-dawn to watch live coverage. So, yesterday after lunch I settle down to watch the replay - before I knew any results - and was greeted by news of the winner everywhere I looked on Freecaster ๐Ÿ™

Great result and all that, but does anyone else think Freecaster need some sort of "spoiler-free" replay? Daft

Does it really make a difference? Watched it anyway knowing the result and to be fair it was possibly the most emotive footage I've seen in a long time!

Er, yes, very much so. A massive difference for me. I guarantee I would get a lot more excited knowing Peaty might win than knowing he has won. In the same way I prefer to read a book if I don't know how it ends, or watch a film when I don't know what's going to happen etc etc
