where's the path is a no go on a evening, bikehike is very temprimental.
any idea's for a free route planning website.

I have used this one a few times but it is very basic.

It's quite old and I guess they have moved on quite a lot, but it's nice and simple to use.

walk highlands - register and you get 1:25k maps.
