I wasn't quick enough, so I'm waiting to see if I can get one of the 200 charity spots.

No idea how much I need to raise yet - hopefully it's not too much!

Not me this year, I didn't even bother trying! I didn't get an entry last year either (actually tried for that one...) but rode bits and pieces of it as 'support' for a mate. Was a gorgeous day and I still did 85 miles just cutting back and forth across the route.

I thinks it's £250 up front plus the entry - details on the website now.

so what's everyone doing training wise? lots of miles and climbing??

has anyone done it before - what's it like? i've ridden the route so i don't mean that, i just mean atmosphere, food stops etc.

Yeah did it in 07, was there last year as well. Always a good atmosphere, people joking about the climbs, how long they'll be out there, the usual bike banter. Feed stations were OK, not as good as the Three Counties but a fair selection of rolls, cake etc. No coffee though which I was most upset about!

Yeah, I did it in '07 as well. I found it a bit mixed on the atmosphere front, mainly down to me. I had good crack with quite a few and at other times I just had my head down and was going for it! Excellent event.
