If I join an Avid Juicy 7 lever to an Avid Code caliper, give it a fluid change and a bleed- 1. Will it work? 2. Will it continue to work reliably? 3. Will I die because of it?
I'm assured that it's been done before by Sam Hill.

Yeah, Code 5's are Code calipers with Juicy leavers IIRC.

Update- the frankenbrakes worked flawlessly in the Morzine mud last week. Last year, using Avid Juicy carbons I managed to get through 6 or so sets of pads in a week. Furtheer- they squealed like pigs and especially worryingly, boiled on a number of occassions- not good.
This year I had no such problems at all- so I'm happy.
