I rather like the look of belt drive are there any frames suitable off the shelf or will i need a custom solution?
maybe this will see the resurgence of elevated chainstay frames! ๐ฎ
Van Nicholas do one.
i have been looking into this recently and my favourite so far is this by Van Nicholas
Easy to do a modification if you buy a frame with a flat dropout like the Pompino.
Just make sure you get a frame with stiff chainstays otherwise you are in for a load of grief.
BTW elevated chainstay frames are too flexy for belt drive, otherwise they would be perfect..
Wasn't there a thread about this recently and won't Nicolai custom build a frame with a frame splitter in the seatstay
Yes, all Nicolai hardtails can be supplied with Gates Drive.
Does anyone make elevated chainstay hardtails?
*harks back to 1990*
what is the advantage of belt drive bikes? I've never understood it myself. Is it just another niche market to tempt our money out of our wallets?
Save a bit of weight, silence, and clean drivetrain.
Loads of gotchas too though. They will all be ironed out eventually.

Yeh they did look right, moreso than Mantis or Nishikis and especially Fishers. No idea how any of them rode.
