Odd one this.
2018 Radon Swoop 170 29er.
The main rocker pivot bearing on one side keeps slowly working it's way out. We've replaced it twice thinking it was perhaps just an undersized bearing.
Main pivot bolt is nipped up tight and Locktite'd. Still it seems to allow the bearing to work out a mm or two over a few rides.
My thoughts:
1. he keeps doing all sorts of scandi-flick and slightly sideways landings, constantly loading one side heavily and in shock.
2. Something's bent. The frame from new was the straightest frame we've ever owned (Orange, I'm looking at you), but now there is a slight misalignment to the side that keeps undoing.
Thoughts?
It may be the housing area Matt ,you could try some Loctite 609 bearing mount stuff.
Have used it in the past on small bearings and you can still press them out when needed.

It could be - there's a lot of wear on them (pads rubbing/just doing thier thing). The bearings have always pressed in easily in there too. Hmm.
Clean and fit the bearing with a loctite bearing retaining compound, some frame manufacturers spec this rather than dry or grease.
Use a heat gun or boiling water to soften the loctite when you replace the bearing in the future.
609 is high strenght, 641 is medium strength, for parts that require subsequent dismantling.
Is it missing an inner race spacer?
Surely there should be no where for it to go if each component butts up to the next and the bolt is tight.

Lots of frame designs allow a bearing to move out of its seat even with bolt tight.

Get him to alternate sides when he flicks it to push it back in. 🤣
As above, has he dropped a spacer when he's taken it apart? Can you find a diagram to check?
What has the bike shop or manufacturer said?
Loc-tite then sell it , then change yer E mail address . Job done.
