I'm now looking for a do it all bike that I can commute on as well as light off-road (fireroad, canal path, light single track kinda thing). I need an ebike, disability makes riding a normal bike very slow, painful and very range limited. I've been looking at the orbea range of ebikes but they're more money than I really want to spend at the moment. So I started looking at bafang kits, the 250w version seems reasonable and I could fit it to my roadrat. Which got me to thinking that actually that frame is a pain so I could sell that and pick up something else second hand.

So, suggestions for frames that I could bolt a motor onto please. Also, with the bafang kit would I be able to mount the battery on the top bit of a pannier rack?

Thanks!
