Washing my carbon road frame yesterday and found delamination
In the fork and frame - out of warranty by 2 months!
I have another bike (caad10) and a winter road bike.
I'm left scratching my head whether to sell the parts
and throw away the frame vs. buying a new frame
and transplanting parts over vs. transplanting to my
winter bike (tiagra set up).
I'm already getting moans of having 2 mtbs in the garage taking up space.
What would you do? New frame on a budget?
(Don't want to spend too much as my contract finishes in June)
what brand frame ?
some companys do a cheap replacement in these cases - others are just ace and will replace it regardless ...
Boardman with the Rival set up -
cycle to work scheme and bought
outright for £65!
My old man has his sights on it but I wouldn't
let anyone ride it in case of injury.
Will get the hammer out...
Will give Halfords a call but didn't think they did
a crash discount.
Edit: Halfords don't do crash discount schemes but will call
me back with a price - close to a new bike price?!
just replace the frame with a planet x carbon frame/fork if you can - itll be equal if not better and not terribly expensive to do
Off to google Planet X
