My rear shock is losing air. Not all at once, but over a few hours.
Clean it or send it away? If so, to who?
Dunk it in a bucket of water first, and see if any bubbles point to the leak. It's quite possible it may just be the valve core that needs tightening.Replacement seal kits are also available, and not too difficult to change, or if you're looking for a service then Loco Tuning, Mojo, or TF Tuned are all highly recommended.
Bought a seal kit from Bikegoo. Mojo were very helpful over the phone but didn't have any kits in stock.
Will strip, clean and re-lube over the weekend. Hopefully I'll get it sorted for about a tenner as I could do without the expense of a service or replacement.
Check the large seal in the seal head where the can screws onto is seated properly and valve core.
Pump up to 300psi and pop in some water to see where it's coming from.
You get a 10 to 25psi pressure drop when you screw the pump on too as the air pressureizes the line to the gauge too.
