giving my 2 week old remedy a clean and notice the dust shield had popped out of the air can slightly,i thought i would whip the can off and pop it back in but something must have developed a problem, its squeezed the seal out because its bent the lip on the inside of the can so theres no way the dust shield can be refit as now at one point theres no longer a groove for it to fit in.
i cant see how the shock can bend its self so was intrested to see if anyone knows how this can happen.

Warranty ?.New air can there bud.
Strange one that...
Main air seal failure and/or defect in air can grooves, warranty.
Happens most often with older shocks when they become 'stuck down'/become negatively charged
Mine almost did the same thing, just not so severe, it did it just after a home service so i reckon it was one of the white plastic seals which wasn't 100% seated that tried to push out. i just pushed the seal back in and left it. 6 months on its still ok, leaks a little float fluid but nothing too catastrophic, eventually it'll be new air can time.
Yours is obviously too far gone......
