went to do a seal and oil change on my forks (140 float fit RLC) and oil drained ok from the RHS leg, but virtually no oil from the LHS (bike was upright!). According to the fox site there should be 30ml in each leg, so have i missed some way of draining the oil?
Forks are 18 months old, not had oil change before, so has the oil just been absorbed by the foam lubricating ring and slowly been lost with use?
Refilled them with 30ml oil each leg, but now worried i might have 60ml in the LHS leg if the old stuff was still in there!
Fox are notorious for not having the correct volumes of oil in the legs in the first place.
Many stories of people doing the first oil change and finding f all in there - me included.
If you want the fork to last and don't want to suffer certain death etc up the change from once every 18 months also (though may be not to Fox's ambitious once very 3km or whatever it is).
Cheers

The oil in the lower legs is just there for lubrication, so it's going to make very little difference if you've got a bit too much in there. Better too much than too little.
Did you check on top of the air piston? You might have found your missing oil there!
Some 2010/11 forks had a dodgy air piston seal and the lowers oil was migrating to above the air piston. There's lots of discussions of it on the interweb and how to fix it - like here
