Has anyone ever serviced their fox float shock them selves. I don't just mean the air can service but a full service of the compression and rebound damper etc. My compression damper doesn't work and the rebound makes very little difference so am thinking that the oil possibly needs replacing?

It's tricky when the ifp is pressurised with nitrogen through the specialist valve.
Different story with something like the Float X2 where you pressurise the ifp with a normal Schrader shock pump
@Onzadog That's true, i didn't realise the X2 just used a schrader valve for the ifp chamber

You can also see what alternatives you can get to make to the Fox tools, you can get alloy shaft clamps with a 9mm clamp much cheaper than £125 for the Fox ones. Turn down a socket for the lockout piston bolt, I have seen people use pin spanners on the lockout piston (not saying its a good idea, I use the fox tool).
You need a way to fill the IFP chamber with a needle through the pellet, you can use a motion pro needle on a shock pump, and an allen key with a slot ground in it for the needle to pass through and let you tighten the retainer, might need a couple of pairs of hands though. Again easier with a regulator and the Fox fill tool.
