What is the deal with this shock? Is it better or worse than the Fox Float RP23 XV that came with the 2011 Fives?

Its Fox's cheapest shock by the looks of things

Spend the extra £100 and get the kashima RP23, thats what I did.

Float R with a lockout, like a RP2 I suppose

Yeah, looks like it. By my (limited) understanding, the single-pivot Five really benefits from the boost-valve & pro-pedal features of the shock. So why do Orange spec their Pro-model with a shock that lacks these features?
