Very interested as looking at replacing the POS monarch on my smuggler and was looking at an Ohlins STX22

Looks nice, and explains why I was able to get a new float x for 400 last week!

Looks like its gonna be a wee bit pricey too, so despite the inevitable shiny thing envy I'll live!

Now on Pinkbike: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/fox-float-dpx2-shock-first-look-2017.html

I'm keen to see if it will fit my T130c, a Float X is too big but this has been downsized a little.

I'll have a closer look into that. Is it supposed to replace the x2? Always bothered me you couldn't do an air can service on one of those but this solves the problem.

No, replacing the Float X.

The X2 is the DH shock.

Yeah, just read it, sounds more like a dpx than an x2 given the more limited adjustment.

Adjustment sounds similar to Float X, but with 10 different Open settings instead of 3.

And it's smaller, so should fit more bikes.

Gonna be seeing a lot of these sold I think.

So with a name like DPX2 I would expect 4 shafts...
I see that Fox has adopted Cove Bikes' naming convention.

Looks very promising.

I presume you have to buy the right tune if it's less adjustable than the X2 or a CCDB?
