Has anyone changed the air can for a smaller volume one? If so, did it improve the performance at all?
there's some threads on mtbr about this, putting a smaller can on reduces the mid stroke wallow (allegedly), you can also put some thin pieces of plastic in the standard can to reduce the volume of the air chamber which do's the same thing but if you vary the size/thickness of the shims you can (allegedly) tune the volume to your personal taste. try a search on mtbr, i seen it on the turner forum
Mine was increased on the reccomendation of Chris Porter at Mojo along with a reshimming to my preference. I wanted the shock to be more progressive through the mid stroke as it was blowing through that portion of travel far to quickly for my liking.
Mikey- Try removing the outter part of the air sleeve, pack with grease and fit back on thus reducing the volume. See if it feels better for you if so then poss buy standard volume can there about £30
