Evening all, any one running a fox ctd rear shock? do you find the blue c-t-d lever to be quite stiff to move sometimes? It's quite a good design - sprung ball bearing that falls into pockets when lever is in the correct position .....but I think the edges of the pockets are quite sharp (no lead in chamfer or rad) causing the lever to get stuck sometimes as the sprung ball hits the sharp edge. A wiggle back and forwards is needed sometimes to get the lever to move.
Just interested to see if this is a common or isolated problem!
Mine seems to be fine, although I have heard of the lever catching on the rebound dial
Mine is VERY loose. If you click it from climb to trail most of the time it ends up in descend.
May hhave to get it looked at now ๐
Thanks for replies chaps ๐ yeah I reckon the sprung steel ball will wear away the edges of the pockets in the soft ally lever quite quickly .....maybe that's why yours is loose m'house..... Have a look at the underside of the lever and see what the profile of the 3 pockets look like...
Will give it another week to see if mine sorts itself out as it wears in otherwise will give tf a shout (who were most excellent in shipping me the shock next day and even sending me another mounting kit as I stupidly gave them the wrong size when ordering)
Well not good news ๐ third ride in an the lever has locked solid. Booooo back it goes to mojo. Less than a week old too - not very happy with fox at the moment. I bought this ctd to replace a failed triad 2 (which mojo would not warranty as it was 4 days over the year).....grrrrrr
