[#3712977]

This could quite easily follow on from previous post but anyway....

I've just bought a CB Cobalt XC wheelset off CRC a few weeks ago and would like to run them on my Fox Talas 36. The fork is a 20mm thru axle and the hubs will only have a 15mm adapter cone. I know the Iodine goes upto 20mm?

Trying to convince myself not to buy a nice new fork to fit!!!

Help ๐Ÿ˜

99% sure you can't do what you are wanting to do.

Sure the adapters are different, as the hubs are too.

To be double sure you should contact 2pure and see what the chat is.

Fox (to my knowledge) don't have anything to help.

You need a new fork or some new Iodines.

(p.s don't take my word for sure, we have both wheelsets here and see no way of doing what you are trying. Want a set for my HD but i can't get a 135/12mm back end rear hub annoyingly.)

Thanks for the info... I'll see if I can get some more info from 2pure. Surprising CB's have overlooked the 12mm rear too.

If all else fails there are some tasty deals kicking about on new forks ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don't see why a shim and a new axle wouldn't work. It wouldn't be very hard for a decent machine shop to make. It might invalidate the warranty and it might be a bit long winded to remove the front wheel but it should work.

The new axle would need something to screw into tho... Here lies the issue. ๐Ÿ™

Newer Iodines use a simplified Hub that can't be converted, AFAIK

That's easy. The insert that is on the threaded side is threaded internally and externally.
