I assume this isn’t normal. How do I fix it?

Thanks 👍

It could be lower oil leaking out.
It could be damping oil leaking out the rebound adjuster.

Service manuals are on the Fox site

Remove rebound knob tighten the nut underneath. If this fixes things, it was just a loose footnut. May still want to drop lowers and replenish oil.

If it's not that, it's damping oil coming out, which is less good.

Thanks for the info.

I’ll see if I can tighten the bolt under the rebound adjuster.

Fingers crossed it’s just that but I know it’s going to be something more substantial with it being a nice bank holiday weekend and this is my only bike. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve taken the red adjuster off and tightened the bolt underneath with a 10mm sprocket. It tightened a little but it wasn’t loose enough to make me think it caused the leak.

Cleaned it up and praying.

Only seems to have happened since I’ve added more pressure to the fork and slowed the rebound down a little.

Would losing oil make the fork feel more softer?

If the oil is leaking from the damper you will get less of a damping effect from your forks. I haven't opened mine yet but isn't it a close bath system? If it is, a leak might mean that you need to open the forks up to see if there is a problem.

Again, as said above, Fox do have useful service pages on their RideFox website.

After cleaning-up the leak, I’ve been on two 35km rides and no leak.

It seems too be that it leaked after the increase in air pressure and rebound adjustment change.

Or it has run out of oil so there is nothing to leak! I would be tempted to do a quick service of the lowers to ensure there is enough oil in there. And replace the crush washers at the same time to stop any further leaks.

Hey Chuck, I’m servicing my mate’s Rhythm 34s this weekend, and have found this video pretty useful:

New crush washers and correctly tightened lower leg bolts should see you right. Good luck in your quest.
