I have a set of 2015 Fox 32s on a bike bought recently for my wife, I was planning on doing a standard lowers service but am falling at the first hurdle. Only ever had Rockshox before so just wondering what I'm missing...

I remove the grubscrew that allegedly secures the knob, but it will not slide off as it does in all the youtube guides I've found, it feels just as solid as with the grubscrew. I soaked for a few hours with GT85 but it still won't budge. It *rotates* fine and but seems stuck on the adjustment rod that lies beneath.

Any top tips? Am I missing something?

TIA

Quick update: sorted it by screwing a small bolt into the thread where the grub screw normally fits, this gave me something to tap at with a rubber mallet and it eventually started to move, slowly. Turns out the hidden recess in the top of the adjuster knob is a bit of a dirt/water magnet. Will be rebuilt with copious grease!
