Need some new brake pads for my RO's (and a mate needs some for his R1's) so was wondering what people are using?
Looking at the Superstar organic ones as I've used them before on my old Hope M4's but just wondered what others are using..
Cheers
Steve

Are you currently using Formula sintered pads? If so, and you like how they are, non of the cheaper brands work the same or are as quiet IMHO.

I use Superstar Kevlars in mine, noisier than the Formula sintered and don't last quite as long but better allround performance and much cheaper.

Really? 😕

Superstar pads in Formula's? That's like buying a Porsche and fitting remould tyres on it when the OEM Pirelli/Goodyear/Michelin's wear out!

RWD are widely recognised as about the best non OEM pad manufacturer, not cheap, but then unlike Superstar they don't fall off their pad backs (yes it happened to me with every Superstar pad I've ever tried, and various friends and customers). They also last well so justify their price.

I wouldn't use them if I wasn't 100% happy with the performance... Don't know how many sets I've been through with never an issue but dozens, in everything from my dh bikes to my commuter... (in The Ones, R1s and Oros). And especially at brutal winter enduros when loads of people are moaning about brake issues they just keep ticking.

Haven't used, or really ever heard of RWD so can't compare. Only time I tried something else recently other than Formula OEM was Uberbike and they were dangerously shit.

Made by the people that make the OEM pads for Brembo, few very good online reviews and can only say that my own experience with them is that they're better than any Formula/Shimano/Hope/Avid etc. OEM pad I've used!

Thanks guys! I've gone for the kevlar SS ones as, if they're crap, I can send them back. Was pleased with the organics and never had a problem with them detaching from the back-plate..
