Does anyone know the difference between the R1 and R1s brake?
R1S seems to have an RX caliper on it- cast rather than forged I think.
Thanks. Can't find any info online. Picked up a full set including rotors from CRC for £196 in the sale last week. Bit of a drunken purchase but they look pretty good !
I think the only difference between this and my R1Xs is that the R1S seems to come with the FCS control as standard. Good brakes! Wish Formula had stuck with the bleed-screw-on-top design mind, but I think that added about 3 grams so had to go 😉
I wish Formula had stuck with the bleed port screw on top of the MC too. Combine the new position with an FCS adjuster wheel and you've got a tight space to fit a bleed adaptor.
We've had to get a new bleed adaptor machined for this very reason.
